Joffre Lakes Provincial Park Management Planning
BC Parks, in partnership with the Lil’wat Nation and N’Quatqua, has developed a Visitor Use Management Strategy (Joffre VUMS) to manage visitor use at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. This Strategy builds on the 2019 Visitor Use Management Action Plan, which was informed by surveys conducted both online and in the park.
The VUMS provides management direction for addressing high visitor use at the park. Through the VUMS public comment process, BC Parks identified several gaps in the management plan direction in the VUMS. BC Parks is working with Lil’wat Nation and N’Quatqua to develop an additional management planning process to address these gaps. This page will be updated with details on this process.
